Why Scarsdale Families Choose Hudson View
Scarsdale families expect a lot from any activity their kids do — real structure, visible progress, and a reason to keep showing up. Hudson View groups by actual skill level instead of age, tracks progress every week, and puts kids on stage twice a year at real recitals, not recording sessions.

Ages + Skill Levels
Piano Playground (ages 4-6) is structured for early attention spans. Piano Express (ages 6+) is our group format built for faster, peer-driven progress. Private Lessons (ages 6+) are one-on-one for families who want individualized pacing instead of a group class. All three start with skill-based placement — a Scarsdale student who's played for years isn't grouped with true beginners, and a beginner isn't thrown in over their head either.
The Commute from Scarsdale
Scarsdale connects to Yonkers via Central Park Avenue (Route 100) or the Bronx River Parkway — most families are looking at 15-20 minutes to 1034 North Broadway.
FAQ

Is the drive from Scarsdale worth it?
For families who want real skill-level grouping and a genuine recital track rather than a recital in name only, yes.

What age should my child start?
Most kids succeed anywhere from age 4 through the early teens with the right placement — age isn't the deciding factor.

My child already quit an instrument — will this be different?
Usually that's a format mismatch, not a musical one. The right group changes the outcome.
A Few Words From Mr. Kirk
Scarsdale parents ask good, direct questions — I like that. Come watch an actual class in session, not a sales pitch, and decide for yourself whether it's the right fit.
